Pale straw with a light green hue. Lemon, grass, slate, on a generally tart bouquet. Lemons and Granny Smith apples with an undercurrent of coconut. Develops marked angularity over classic Seneca lake slate. Finish is tart and mouthwatering. Acid is a bit out of balance and fruit is thin. Unusual for this vintner whose whites are often quite fruit focused and well structured. Not good as an aperitif as the acid is too strong for a cocktail wine. Best with bluefish or lobster.
