Medium to dark ruby in the glass, solid to the rim. Aromas of leather, tobacco, cherry, and vanilla. Cherry, loam, spice and black plums on the palette. Finish is long and spicy with undercurrents of cherries and plums. The wine is big showing strong acids, well defined earth notes, solid grip, and fully integrated tannins. Spices and peppers are marked and in keeping with the earth and spice focus of the wine. Fruit is evident but subordinate. Pair with grilled meats.
