Pretty medium gold in the glass on this Hamptons estate bottled Chardonnay. Rich fragrant aromas of lemon cream, freshly baked bread, smoke, and vanilla with light floral undertones. Ripe golden apples, ripe pears, and brown sugar foreword. Developing dried stone fruit, especially apricot with bread and slight caramel notes. Gets round while defining cellar flavors; complex and shifting. Solid and round bodied wine is a fairly big Chardonnay. Well defined flavors across the palate. Creamy but not viscous textures show balance. Distinct acids provide a good counterpoint to cellar flavors and textures. Finish is big and long with vanilla, smoke, loam, and white peppers. Probably not bad as an aperitif but potentially filling. Pair with poultry or full flavored fish with cream based sauces. Also good with hard cheeses and fruits.
