Colors of pale straw to gold in this glass of this single vineyard Finger Lakes dry Riesling. Wine was made from whole cluster press grapes which were cold fermented and then aged about five months sur lie. Aromas of limes, chalk, anise, and hints of diesel. Ripe wine opens with limes and stone fruit on a medium body. Sur lie provides for smooth and rich textures; sumptuous. Acids balance impart a clean and bright character on this dry but still fruit driven wine. Classic Finger Lakes finish of slate and limes with some tropical guava notes. Excellent as a winter aperitif. Pair Alsatian choucroute garni or pork sausage cassoulet.
