Glenora’s 2008 Sangiovese is light rose garnet in the glass. Aromas of cherries and plums with a touch of cinnamon; restrained. Palate shows muted flavors of cherry candy with cinnamon and coconut. This is a light bodied wine with some smooth textures. Tannins are present but light. Actually drinks something like a Pinot Noir. Finish is restrains and gets a bit short. This Sangiovese is light enough for an aperitif. Pair with poultry with fruit sauces.
